BitTorrent speed, port forwarding help.?

When using BitTorrent, it shows the red icon with the exclamation point and tells me that no ports are open. I already did the port forwarding on my router, but the speed still sucks.
Does anybody have ANY idea on how to get my torrents to download properly?
There's about a 10 to 1 seeder/leecher ratio for every one.
 
I know this is kind of an outing...I'll answer anyway. Try disabling any software firewall there is on your computer, and check wether the port you selected for your torrent programme is static or generated newly any time you start it.
