blackberry curve 8310 mp3 capabilities?

I'm thinking about upgrading to a Curve 8310. Can you put your mp3's on the curve and use them as ringtones? Also, can you tag your contacts with individual pictures?

which is better, Pearl 8100 or Curve 8310. I need help deciding. Thanks for your help!
