blackberry pearl won't charge...?

My 8100 will not charge, I plug it in and the light blinks once then stops. I've tried multiple chargers & USB ports and NOTHING works! I've tooken the battery and sim card out, let the battery drain, I've done everything. Won't work.
 
It is most definitely the phone, if you have tried so many other batteries and chargers. Have you examined the charge port? Does it look clean.

Even though it may not be, just examine the battery contacts, charge port contacts to see if any of them are push back or damaged in any way.

Heads up though, if any of these are damaged. You will catch heat for it.
