blackberry question?

i have a blackberry pearl and I am sending it in to be worked on and they sent me a loner phone which is a regular blackberry and when i want to send a sms text message i dont see a send button when i push the select button so please give me some instructions on how to do this thanks for all your helpful comments!

try pressing the ball after you have selected the pone nmber..if not then try pressing the button to the left of the ball after seleccting the #. and if not then your screwed
