Blu-Ray DVD's on the PS3 help?

do you have to switch the PS3 to play Blu-Ray dvd's or no. It just doesnt look like the Clarity is any different(putting in Blu-Ray disc's).
 
you dont need to switch anything

in order to see a different with blu-ray from regular dvds,

you must have an HDTV and you MUST connect the PS3 to the HDTV using either Component HD cables or an HDMI cable.

other wise it won't be any better than regular DVD
