blu ray movies on PS3?

does anyone know if its possible to buy a blu ray movie online and download it to a ps3,or do i have to buy the movies at a store instead of online.
tna-i am willing to buy them,if you read my question then you will see that what i am asking is can i buy them online or do i have to go to a store to get them.

Well, since you CAN download videos onto a Playstation 3, I'm pretty sure you could download one onto a usb drive, and then transfer it over to the Playstation 3... but it might not be as high quality as it would if you had the disc... but if that doesn't bother you than it should work!
 
Actually you can. it's just that there are very few downloads of blue ray movies out there and they take up an incredible amount of space. They wouldn't fit on a dvd let alone a usb and it would occupy all of your computer's hard drive too. Only way I can see that is possible is to get a detachable portable harddrive so it doesn't take space and you can easily transfer. So yes to you question, but is it practical? No...
 
whats the point of wanting blu ray movies when your not willing to pay the money for higher quality movies,,,,and would rather download a crappy version online
