blu-ray playback problem?

hello. i own a 32" panasonic LCD viera and have it cabled up to a ps3 through HDMI.
i have just bought my first blu-ray disc and on the ps3 i have bluray playback 24hz/24p set to automatic.
anyway in the specs for my tv it says it can handle 1080p @ 24hz/24p but when i play the movie it is very jittery with a bad framerate andsome parts of the screen lag while the movie is playing.
any help is appreciated thanks
 
try goin to video settings on ps3 and select manual instead of scan....untick all boxes except 1080p then save ....u screen will either work if it can handel it or it will go black and reset to prev setting if its not....i didnt touch settings and mines is fine....try resetting all the settings u hav changed
