I have an H.D ready L.C.D -T.V and an ordinary d.v.d recorder obviously I am looking to buy a blu-ray d.v.d player to show blu-ray films, but do I also require a blu-ray T.V as well ? No, you just need a hdtv, which yours might be but im not sure. Hd ready tv sometimes means it accepts Hd signal but not outputs it. If your tv does output Hd, then you all you need is HDMI cables. In order to see the full potential of bluray, you need a tv that outputs at 1080p and have HDMI cables.
