Blue-ray for my PC? Worth it?

I want to get a blue ray rom for my pc from newegg.com. Is it worth geting one? I have a samsung 22inch monitor. Would the image turn out realy good just like it would on a normal tv(say a 42 inch).]
Im not sure if my monitor is out of date. They did stop making it tho but here is a link to it. Could blue-ray run good on this?

Yea, just found out i would need a monitor that is HD, Which this one does not. Owell, my next monitor would include it and i will just grabe a Blue-ray rom with it. THx for all the info.
 
Your monitor isn't even HD or HD compatible, so having a blu-ray player would be an absolute waste of money because you won't get the quality which defeats the point of blu-ray! Also, unless you don't have a TV (HD of course), why would you rather spend it on a PC blu-ray player instead of a regular one for the TV? Don't bother.
