Bluetooth problems on my phone!!!!?

i just got a phone for christmas its the LG Dimple and my bluetooth is completely broke and i dont know know how. i have recieved stuff through bluetooth but it has stopped working, other people cant see me and i cant see them and we both are on show and if they do see me my says connection failed.
can anyone help me?
