...a family horse for my three girls.? My girls are 17, 13 and 12. They have some exsperience from riding their half sister's horses. My husband also rides. I had a horse as a child but it has been a long time ago. We have several we are looking at but haven't picked one yet.

My question is more about bonding. We want this horse to become a forever horse and not just a for now horse as it were.
If we first pick a friendly gentle personality what is some best ways we as a family can bond with the horse slowly from day one? Also can you suggest some treats we might offer the horse. Say carrots. Anything that would help the process.

Oh we are looking at a wonderful 4 year old gelding this Sunday. The problem is someone is seeing him today (Saturday). I will be a tad bit sad if they take him even before we get to see him. He seems perfect because he is young and really loves people. Not to mention quite beautiful as well. Thanks. Evita
