...intense as those in a movie + BQs? We have a lot of films/movies out there, that are based off novels.
I wonder if a movie changes the immediacy of emotions a reader gets while reading a book. For me, emotions created while reading a story tend to be much more direct and intense, compared to those feelings I get while watching a film.
I am under the impression that films can be much more easily ... commercialized, so the deeper meaning of the scenes we watch is absolutely lost in between extreme computerized scenery, graphics and money sources.
As for books ... Well, books is something you can touch, smell, feel in general. When you read a well written book, the words that come out of those pages make you feel alive. You can relate to the characters better, understand them. And the expression patterns help a lot as well. Metaphors, similes, all of them create such a colorful era full of emotions that vary.
This is my personal opinion. What do you all think ?
Remember, I am NOT talking about movies in general, only for those movies that are based off a book ~
BQs :
1) How many novels/stories have you written so far ? If you could, which one of them would you erase completely [ for which one have you regretted of wasting your time making it ] and why ?
2) How do you feel about your writing today ? Is it like it should be or does it need something more ? And what about you, have you been productive or lazy today ?
3) Choose three words and describe your story. NOT its content { if you don't want to } only what you think about it ( e.g. boring/exciting/confusing etc ... etc ... ) !
4) Do you think that one or/and more of you books could be made into films one day ? If yes, then what do you think would differ from the actual novel ? If no, have you ever thought that your book/books could stand out as animes or mangas/comic books/graphic novels ... ?
