I was planning to have her spayed 3 months ago. But since some dog came from God knows where, and hopped on her and they got stuck for 25 min...I assumed she was pregnant and didnt get her spayed- her appointment was a few days after that happened.
2 months later, theres no puppies....Im so greatful
My border collie is a handful and now that Im going to get her spayed...
will she settle down ?
or will she still act like a wild young border collie?
Or, will she never settle down because shes a border collie?
shes almost 1 1/2 now so shes not as wild as a new puppy but I'm hoping the spaying will do the trick.
(she ran away 6 months ago and got him by a car and broke her leg)
I have 4 children. We play out in about .25 of an acre of fenced in area with her, she loves to play ball and stuff. we have 1 acre total but if she is loose without the fence she runs away.
if I put her outside in the gate, no matter how well the fence is, she escapes as border collies are well known to do. So I have to put her on a chain and me and the kids take her for walks, and walk her on a leash to pee.
what other activities could i do with her to get rid of all her amazing energy ? She likes to chase me and the kids lol
