brand new AT&T phone but I want to use for t-mobile-?

So I just bought it and is being shipped and the phone is from AT&T but Im sure it is locked because its new right..

Do I need a new sim & get it unlocked because of different carriers?

I talked to t-mobile and they said I need to go to a third party relailor to unlock it and would cost $.

You need to unlock your phone, inorder to use a different carrier!!!! Unlocking using codes is easy and also safe!!! There are many reliable online sites that offer these codes!!! Personally, i would prefer, unlocking4free.com !! Though the codes are for only limited mobile models here, the codes are reliable and free of cost!!! After unlocking your phone, you can use it with any GSM network!!!!!
