The Golden State Warriors traded for Brandon Rush last season in a deal with the Indiana Pacers. On Tuesday, the Warriors decided to bring back Rush for two more years. His two-year contract will pay him a total of $8 million.
Last season, Rush shot the ball incredibly well for Golden State. In 26.4 minutes per game, he shot 50.1% from the field and 45.2% from beyond the three-point line. He also averaged 3.9 rebounds, 1.4 assists and 0.9 blocks per game.
The second year of Rush’s contract is a player option. If he improves on his play next season, expect him to opt out and test the free agent waters next summer.
