Bricked in recovery mode when downgrading my jailbroken iPhone 3G from OS...

...3.0 to 2.2.1!!! Help please!!!? Hi, I just tried to downgrade my jailbroken (using redsn0w 0.8) iPhone 3G from firmware 3.0 (already jailbroken) to 2.2.1 (original), by doing a shift-click and restore in iTunes Windows, and then selecting the 2.2.1 firmware file. But I ended up getting an error 1013 after the restore was complete, and my iphone is stuck in recovery mode (screen with the cable and iTunes logo).

I can't get my iphone out of restore mode by holding the power + home button for 15s and then pressing the power button. It seems like it's stuck in recovery mode. I've tried doing many restores with firmware 2.2.1 and even 3.0 on iTunes 9.0.2, 8.2, 8.1.1 and even 7.4.3, but it is still bricked in recovery mode and with each restore, I get an error (I had errors 1, 1013, and other numbers that I can't remember before, varying with each version of iTunes I used).

How to I:
(i) unbrick my iphone out of recovery mode and
(ii) downgrade it to original firmware 2.2.1 so I can jailbreak it?

Thanks for all the help!!!!!
