I bought a new car about two and a half, three months ago and since then I have had to replace the timing belt, serpentine belt, water pump, both of the handles have fallen off, had to replace both headlights, and the trunk won't open despite being "fixed" three times. That's neither here nor there, though. One day I went out to try and start my car, and it wouldn't start. After a while, I gave up and called a mechanic friend to ask if he could fix it. As it wouldn't start, I knew we'd have to tow it. My grandfather came over and tried to tow it, but he couldn't find any towing hooks. So he hooked it on the axle. Twenty seconds later, a snap and all he's towing is a piece of my axle (Picture below). Is this something that can be fixed, will it be expensive, etc? Thank you. Picture of part that came off. http://i91.photobucket.com/albums/k297/wasit_adream/01-26-09_2215.jpg
