The San Francisco Giants are back in the NLCS thanks to superstar catcher Buster Posey. The potential NL MVP hit a grand slam in the fifth inning to put the Giants up 6-0 over the Cincinnati Reds. The Giants held on to win by a count of 6-4.
The Reds actually won the first two games of this series. However, the Giants came storming back and registered wins in the last three contests to topple Cincinnati and move on in the 2012 baseball postseason.
In the NLCS, the Giants will face either the Washington Nationals or the St. Louis Cardinals.
As for the Reds, this is a bitter disappointment. They had a great season and this series appeared to be in the bag. But, at the worst possible time, it all came crashing down.
