buying a new phone to an existing t-mobile family plan?

i want to buy a nokia n82 from www.exoticphone.com and they offer it unlocked for $519 and they have an option of getting the same unlocked phone cheaper with a t-mobile plan for $379.
can i get the phone with the cheaper price but use it with my current family plan or do i have to start a new plan?
