Buying an older model Volvo?

I consider purchasing a '93, '95, '96 Volvo 960/S 90 with a max. of 110,000 miles. Do you have any experiences to share, such as recommendations and/or critique? Or would you suggest a different model Volvo? Thanks for your expertise.
