I have a 2003 Cadillac CTS. Yesterday while driving it had stopped. After about 20 minutes we were able to start it no problem and drove home. This morning we went for a coffe and we couldn't come home with it. It stopped again and would not restart for 40 minutes, then it worked for 5 minutes and stopped again for 20, worked for 6 and so on. I had it towed.. Anyone knows what this might be?

it sounds like your key is not being read properly. There is a pass key system built into the key, it is designed to read your key to make sure the right key is being used to operate your car. If your key is being read properly the car runs properly, but if your car thinks it's the wrong key it will shut down the engine because it thinks it has been stolen. Note if you have a mobil speed pass or similar quick payment sort of thing on your key chain, it is probably interfering with your pass key, remove it from your keys and see if it continues. once your theft protection have enabled it will take at least 20 minutes to reset, longer if the problem persists
