I have a needle biopsy of a couple tumors in my breast coming up in a few days. My doctor told me to cut out all caffeine for 7 days prior to the procedure. I fully intend to follow this instruction, but I can't seem to find any information on why this is necessary. I'm still getting accustomed to the fact that I have tumors at all at 24 even though I know that they're most likely benign. This one little detail is driving me batty. Anyone know why the caffeine abstinence?
