Calculus Anyone?

Well I'm in AP Calculus right now and i was curious has any of the intellectuals of ST taken or are currently taking a form of Calculus.

Just a little curiosity.

Now I'm pretty positive about 1 percent of ST even knows what the study of Calculus is and where it is used in every day society, so I'll allow those brain dead civilians to flame, and post randoms.

Anyway Discuss.

oh, god, i'm dreading dif. eq.

calc has plenty of uses, but you just don't know it. any formula you use for finding the area or volume of something was probably derived from calc, as are position/velocity/acceleration functions in physics, etc. etc. etc.

and yeah, calc II blows donkey balls.

I think im going to faill it because im AP Calculus now and i fell behind at the beginning of Sin, Cos, Tan and the UNIT CIRCLE.
Now were doing Sin, Cos, Tan , 30-60-90 and 45-45-90 triangles.
And im good at this cuz your finding the missing angles or side lengths, but i dont get the unit circle and COT, SEC, CSC.
I hate it.

msj, dude if you know the class. Calculus revolves around trig functions.....graphing..., calculating unknown angles and lengths through trig functions = calculus.

Trig=/=calculus. Trig you learn to use in geometry so you can apply it effectively in calculus. Calculus is the study of the relation between functions, their integrals and derivatives, and how it applies to real life situations.

Good for you! Anybody above an IQ of 100 can do calculus; It's pretty easy. Well, at least the High School AP version is. Try taking that shit in college. It's a fucking bear.
