Calls from Siemens A55 to Sony Ericsson xperia x8?

My nan has a Siemens A55 mobile phone but cannot call or text me on my Sony Ericsson Xperia X8. It says that calls and texts to this number are barred. However after checking all settings there are no barrings on either phone. Does anybody know why this is?
