Camera recommendations for a newbie?

Hi. I've never really used a camera or a camcorder before. I basically want the best camera or camcorder I can get for under 700 pounds. My main interest is possibly recording tennis videos, for analysis. I've looked at Canon HF S21's and those similar, which seem pretty good. I've also looked at a couple of Nikon cameras but not sure if you can record videos for long enough with them as they seem primarily for photos.

Any input as to whether I should stick with a camcorder or maybe get a camera would be useful. As you can probably tell, I don't really have a clue what I'm doing. ;-)

Thanks

if you're going after video shooting, get a video camera, the sensor is much better. Or else get a digital camera. Try Nikon for digital camera for it's ease of use, try panasonic / samsung for video camera for their ease of use.

Try JVC for simpler functions with a cheaper budget...toshiba is another good investment. You're limited only by your budget.
All the best
God bless
