Can 2 neo by alphasmarts talk to each other?

me and my freind (we both hav writing disabilities) both have the exact same model of alphasmart neos, and they are capable of connecting to computers with an infared mode, would they be able to talk to each other with that ? like could i send him a file i have on mine ? anyone who can help if u hav any questions email me at [email protected] or [email protected]
