My friend gave me a at&t phone, but i have t-mobile.
Can i get the At&t phone hooked up to the t-mobile network?
If so, will it cost money?

yes you just need to get your phone unlocked costs around 15 dollars for a lil cell shop in the mall to do it. then your good :) if u still have questions about it feel free to mail me

You can take it to some phone shop or phone repair shop and ask them to UNLOCK the phone. You can do a software unlock if it's possible. Search Google.

UNLOCKING= tampering with the phone so it can be used on different networks

If you unlock the phone, you can use it on TMobile.

How much? depends.

Free if you know someone
or Pay if you don't
Cheapest is Ebay (Under $10 / for an Unlocked Code)
Good Luck :)

You will need to unlock the phone first. That typically costs about $20-$40 depending on the phone. Once it's unlocked, you need to buy a t-mobile sim card. However, a store might give you the t-mobile sim card for free if you sign a contract.
