Can a DS Lite fabric case also fit a 3DS?

I found a case for DS lite that is like a fabric pouch. Would it be able to fit 3DS also? Or is the 3DS larger than the DS lite? Thanks!
The dimensions of the case are 18.5cm x 11.5cm

the size is the same but 3ds is more heavier than the ds lite.if you get the pouch the 3ds will fit in but not perfectly.get a 3ds pouch it will be just $5 more than the ds case
