can a manager legally keep u after for a meeting off the clock?

also i left myself punched in and he says .... you didnt punch out and i said no you never said to to me and if ur giving us a talk shouldnt we be punched in and he said no its a post shift is that legal

Never worked in a job where I didn't do some sort of unpaid overtime - get over it.

Unless you really have to be somewhere.

Or if you want to make the time up the next day at your lunch break, and if they ask why you can tell them.

Depends on how strict they are in that company - if they watch everything you do then I would definitely stick it up them!

The law very clearly states you have to be paid if you have to be there.

But for one meeting it isn't worth loosing your job to fight it.
