Can a Mitsubishi 3000GT SL be converted to RWD?

Im planning to buy a awesome condition ultra cheap working condition 95 3000GT SL and I know its an FF car. I don't have any complains except the part where FF cars can't drift. I saw not long ago a drifitng 3000GT SL not the VR4. Is there a way to make the SL into a RWD car for drifting besides changing from a SL to a VR4 or swapping the SL drivetrain for the VR4 and eliminating the FWD part. How much? Thanks!
