can antibiotics cause vaginal infections?

i was taking antibiotics because the doctor thought i had strep throat but turns out i had mono, so the antibiotics went backward on me and caused a rash all over my body. now im experiencing vaginal mucus that is white and this is embarrassing but the inside has some white stuff and its very itchy down there and uncomfortable i was supposed to get my period the 27th and its already the 5th whats wrong with me?
