I read this book when I was younger, and lately it's eating at me that I cannot remember the name of the book or its author. The book involved a small town. The kids were forced to take these injections. Some adults were too. When they stopped taking them, they started to change into strange creatures that had orange fuzz all over their body. The book started with this fight between the main character and a bully at a baseball park on the bleachers. Any help identifying the book would be SO appreciated.
