Message: <blockquote data-quote="oldknowall" data-source="post: 1709632" data-attributes="member: 214663">Don't try this unless all else fails!  It will either fix it or wreck it completely. If it's a top loading drive, clean it out as much as you can with an alcohol soaked cloth and scrub the lens with a cotton bud soaked in alcohol.  If it's a front-loading drive, clean out the drawer as much as you can, put some alcohol on the micro-brush on the cleaning disk and run it.  If you haven't got anti-static cleaner, gin works as well and smells better.Let it dry out before you put a DVD in.</blockquote>
