Now, this was an excessively cute baby -- it had lots and lots of hair, big blue eyes, and it was happy -- smiling and giggling. So I picked it up and squeezed it to my chest. My mother said, &quot;We have to find its parents.&quot; So we wandered around trying to find them. We eventually bumped into these two dirty, scruffy people who were the parents. The mother looked at it and said, &quot;Oh yea. I forgot that.&quot; My mother and I stepped away for a second (still with the baby pressed to me), and I said, &quot;We are NOT giving the baby back,&quot; and my mother replied, &quot;No, we have to. We have to give her back.&quot; So I finally relented and gave her back. The mother kept ignoring her, but the dad seemed sort of happy to see her. Then I woke up and felt a little sad.What on earth does all of that mean?</blockquote>
