First off, let me begin by saying that I realize that a lot of people don't believe in dream interpretation, and that is totally fine. However, if you are one of those people, please ignore this question. Now, before I began, I'd like to point out two things: 1. In real life I tend to be on the reasonable side, whereas my mother is more... spontaneous -- for lack of a better word. In this dream, that role seems to have been reversed. 2. I am not maternal. At all. So, here's the dream. My mother and I were walking around what I think was a shopping center in the middle of night. We came across a shopping cart that had a baby in it. Now, this was an excessively cute baby -- it had lots and lots of hair, big blue eyes, and it was happy -- smiling and giggling. So I picked it up and squeezed it to my chest. My mother said, "We have to find its parents." So we wandered around trying to find them. We eventually bumped into these two dirty, scruffy people who were the parents. The mother looked at it and said, "Oh yea. I forgot that." My mother and I stepped away for a second (still with the baby pressed to me), and I said, "We are NOT giving the baby back," and my mother replied, "No, we have to. We have to give her back." So I finally relented and gave her back. The mother kept ignoring her, but the dad seemed sort of happy to see her. Then I woke up and felt a little sad. What on earth does all of that mean?
