I heard that steroid pills definitely lower your immune system, as they go throughout the whole body,but what about asthma inhalers?
they technically only travel to your lungs..but they have steroids in the as well, so I'm not sure what to think.
Can anyone help clarify this?
I'm concerned because I've been nothing but sick since new years...and pretty bad illnesses too. flu,..really bad week long virus with fever; its been non-stop and I have bad asthma too and have been taking the inhalers as well as prednisone....so I want to know if that's partially responsible.
Also, how badly do they lower the immune system?
After we stop taking them...how long until we rebound, etc?
