can freesat firmware be flashed onto fta sat box?

just fitted a sat dish and box!not realising it's a fta dish and box(no english channels)when i really needed was a freesat dish and box,my question is...can i download the freesat firmware and flash it to the fta box(it's a ross)....or....can i get a freesat box to work with the fta dish i spent 4 hours up a ladder installing?????MAN ain't having no luck this week at all.any help will be much appreciated.
 
If you have universal LNBF, it should be fine for the Sky/Freesat cluster. You should be able to get some of the Freesat channels on a plain FTA receiver.
