Can hyper sexuality trigger psychosis? (serious answers only please)?

This question might sound a little strange...but I have a mood disorder with periodic psychosis. During this time I was very hypersexual and didn't feel comfortable discussing this with my doctor. Because this lasted a long time and was a real concern I'm curious if it may have triggered my psychosis (hallucinations, paranoia, delusions)?

I know I'm leaving personal history out but any general information on hypersexuality and psychosis would be appreciated.

Hyper sexuality can occur during mania, so can psychosis. I would think that the two may be seen together because of the level of mania but not in reaction to eachother.
