Can I Buy Blackberry off Craigslist without Setting up Internet- T-mobile?

So I really want to upgrade from my old T-Mobile Sony Ericson on which I get texting and phone calls and all that good stuff but my parents definitely won't pay extra to get internet. So what I'm asking is if I buy a Blackberry Curve 8310 from craiglist if it's already been used and if I put my old SIM card into the new blackberry, will I be able to keep my same plan and everything? And will it automatically not allow me on internet or will i have to stay away from certain apps? And if so, which ones?
 
Yes, but eventually you will have to pay to get it setup, activated and pay the piper their fees.
