Can I change my puerto rico 2-year unlimited t-mobile plan to a t-mobile

unlimited no contract plan in the us? I recently moved to Florida and I'm still on my Puerto Rico rate plan and want to change it to a no contract plan in the US. Can this be done without charging me a cancellation fee? I don't want to switch carriers so I won't be cancelling my phone service with T-Mobile but I don't know if they will let me go from a contract plan to a no contract plan. Any help is appreciated. Thanks!
 
They will let you switch from a contract to a non contract plan;however they will try to get the remainder of the early termination fee from your previous contract. You may be able to negotiate with them for a lower amount. Sometimes they will give you what you want just to get off the phone or to save you as a customer. T Mobile is losing many customers so you have a good chance.
