Can I change my T-Mobile PHONE without changing plans?

I'm tired of my old T-Mobile phone and I want a new one, but am still under their contract.

Can I just buy a new T-Mobile phone from Wal-Mart or off the T-Mobile website and just switch the sim card to the new one? Will all my stuff be transferred? Will it cost me anything but the phone itself?
 
Yeah. Just don't add anything else onto your plan.
 
You can actually use any phone under T-Mobile if its unlocked.
