Can I convert files that are h264 to Xvid?

When I watch anime, I like to read styled subtitles. When a file is in h264, it doesn't have styled subtitles, but if it is in Xvid, it does have styled subtitles. The problem is that the files that are Xvid are lower resolution than the h264 files. I figured if I convert h264 to Xvid, it will make the subtitles styled and have higher resolution.

Any help is appreciated.

Thanks!

What exactly do you mean by "styled subtitles"?

Subtitles comes in several types: graphical subs (overlay graphics), or text subs. Text subs are dependent on the rendering program. What fonts you use can be overriden by the renderer with more effects.

Sounds like you just need to figure out how to config the subtitle rendering options.
