yes you can use you're friend's car for dmv testing as long as it is currently registered and has vehicle third party liability insurance
coverage.

I am trying to get a CA driver's license recently, but I checked the DMV offical website, I have to own a car and get insured, so I am not sure if I can use my friend's car to get the behind-the-wheel test in California, I will appreciate the answer.
