Can I get some help putting videos on my Creative Zen?

I have the 32 GB (credit card sized) Flash player. I read that it supports MPEG 1 and 2 as well as DivX and WMV9. I tried their converter (WMV9) and I did not like the quality of the video. I have tried MPEG 1 and 2 (and 4) and every time I try to add a video it tells me that the video format exceeds the capability of my player. I have no idea what it means and how to fix it. I thought the format I was using was supported. Any ideas on how to get a workable MPEG 1 or 2? For now I'll try to find something DivX related and see if that works.
