Can i hook up a type R to a mrp-f550?

its 250watts rmsx2 @ 4ohms...so right now i have bridged the first 2 channels to power both voice coils...
but could i bridge all 4 channels and power both coils separately without ruining anything? keeping in mind the coils on my type R are 2 ohms each...and the amp is rated for 4...
 
you would severely stress the amp. It is not intended to run at 2 ohms when bridged. Heat would be excessive, and for any chance at getting the quality output that's expected you'd need to set both control sets the same - which is very difficult to do.

All things considered I think it would be a bad idea to put your amp under that much stress for no real guarantee in output or sound quality.

It's a good quality amp. Sell it and get something more appropriate for the job.
