Can I legally take ownership of the truck?

There is a truck in my ex-boyfriends possession that I co-signed on. The paper work and registration say him OR me. He is behind on payments and there is no insurance on the vehicle also registration expired 2 1/2 months ago. They are threatening my license and a repo if something isn't done immediately. I am willing to pay off the truck if I can have the title placed solely in my name. It was my truck and he took it after a restraining order and now won't make payments or anything else. I have kids and one with a disability, I can not loose my license or get a repo or worry about getting sued for his reckless driving he has had a lot of accidents in the past. Everything says his Or mine not AND.
 
if you make the payments this should solve the repo problem, between you and me, your name is on the truck, its sad when a man cannot act like a man and do the right thing, you are entitled to use the truck, if you can somehow find the repo companies name, ask them or pay them to get the truck, but once done, you have to outsmart good ol whats is name. you can also go to the police like on a sunday morning around 9 am they are bored to tears on sunday, every ones in church. show up with those sweet darling kids, explain the story, show them the papers, they may show up there and standby so you can get your truck. buttwipe is trying to screw up your credit too. how pathetic good luck keep fighting for what is yours, butt if you go to the police, I would at least get the insurance, and you will need a flat bed tow truck so all four wheels are off the road because of registration common dear you can outsmart him@@@@!!!!!!
 
Sounds like you should be able to get the truck,but before you do make sure you have proof that your name is on the title or you meant be the one put into jail. Don't tell him anything just go pick up the truck.
 
well then go take it........go to dealer and have key made with ur paper work if u don't have one....



** make sure u don't violate the restraining order tho......may have to have someone else go get the truck....

** other option would b to wait until he drives in and have him arrested then pay the tow fee and take it form the impound lot while he is in jail.......

** after u have possession of the truck go make payments and talk to finance company about taking his name off paperwork so he can't come take it back............basically tell them they can have the truck or take his name off...usually they will take his name off cas they would rather have payments than have to resell truck....
