Can I remove DivX from my computer?

I have about 4 DivX programs installed on my computer. I guess they must have come with it. But am I able to remove them, or will removing them cause performance problems on my computer or something??

I don't ever compress video files, so I don't see why I would NEED DivX... and they're just taking up room on my hard drive.
