can i renew my rogers contract when my first one isnt finished?

I am 1.5 years into a 3 year contract with rogers wireless. I have an iphone but it is so messed up (the speakers dont work, it doesnt vibrate, etc) and my warrenty on it is over. I want to get a new phone, but they are so expensive! can i renew another 3 year contract with them to get the discount on my new phone and just carry over the 1.5 years i have on the first contract and add them to the second? so it will be 4.5 years in total?
