Can i still recover corrupted files?

unfortunately, and with my heart's ache, photos of important moments in my life was corrupted in my computer. it was saved on a CD but i cant open it. it says it is corrupted. do i still have the chance to recover them? im dying to have them back. by the way, i have used Sony DigiCam DSC-W80 for taking pictures and MacBook for saving them.
