Can I transfer old texts from my Old chocolate vx8550 to my new chocolate vx8550?

The phone works perfectly except for the fact that the screen is broken so I can't operate the phone at all.
So I just wondered if there was a way I could use some sort of cord into my computer without operating the phone at all.
