know for SURE only please)? I am only talking about t-mobile, If you have any other carrier, or don't know t-mobile polocies please don't answer. My friends dad has a blackberry bold 9780 that he is willing to sell me. The only problem is I have no data plan. And do not intend on getting one either. I am a teenager and really have no use for a data plan at the moment. Mostly I just use my Ipod woth wifi if i'm out somewhere, or my computer at home. Easy enough. There is nowhere I am where I need the internet or need my e-mail. It just looks like a cool phone, and I want it! So if I do buy it, take out my sim card from my old phone, and put it in the blackberry, will it automatically start to charge for a BB data plan? I do have unlimited minutes and text. Will it take that off if i switch the sim card? My understanding is that all your plan information is tracked and stored in your sim card. Is this correct? I am not trying to bypass the system. I have no intention of hacking the BB into getting free data or web. All I want to use it for is texting and picture messaging (I heard you can't picture message without a data plan either?), calling, wifi (If it won't charge for that either), and taking some pictures. Thats all, just use it as you would any other non-data phone. So is this possible? I really like the phone! He has cases and everything for it! He is selling it to me for 30 bucks too! Sweet deal in my opinion!
